JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the development of our event production activities, we are looking for a passionate Technical Drafter with a strong interest in the event industry. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for producing the technical drawings required for the design, production, and execution of events (concerts, festivals, conventions, corporate events, etc.).

RESPONSABILITIES
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to translate creative concepts into accurate technical drawings.
  • Ensure all technical documentation aligns with safety standards and production requirements.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and evolving technical standards.
  • Support the production team by providing accurate, updated plans and setup information.

PRINCIPAL TASKS
  • Create 2D and 3D technical drawings for event layouts (stage, site plans, lighting, video, sound, etc.).
  • Model venues and equipment based on technical specifications and site/venues constraints.
  • Develop technical sheets and setup documents for on-site teams.
  • Integrate safety standards and specific technical constraints into all drawings.
  • Update plans and files as projects evolve, ensuring all stakeholders have access to the latest versions.
  • QUALITIES REQUIRED
  • Background in technical drawing, architecture, scenography, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical or industrial drafting.
  • Significant experience in the event or live performance industry is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks is an asset.
  • Knowledge of technical constraints related to lighting, rigging, sound, and video is an advantage.
  • Precision, autonomy, attention to detail, and a strong team spirit.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
